Character Creation
Below are details to help you create a character for the game. Due to the size of the game, spots in clans, Merits and Flaws and Starting Generation for characters are limited. Please write us to check that the concept you wish to play is in an open clan. If you submit a character we can have the character, along with city and clan back grounds ready for you. But at this time for game 2 we can not guarantee personal back grounds.
Characters for Distant Mirror should be created according to the standard rules for generating a new character as explained in the third edition of "Vampire: The Masquerade".
We are accepting characters from the thirteen clans, Camarilla and Sabbat and will consider, Caitiff, uncommon blood-lines, and thin-bloods provided they are concepts that work within the setting of the game. We are keeping an open mind about character concepts, and welcome diversity in the game. However, we ask that you stick to starting character statistics, as outlined in the Core Books. Also before you work up your prelude please check with us on open clans or blood lines. We also have a waiting list for some clans and contacting us is the only way to get your name on that list.
By no means, is this page meant to answer all of your questions. It is intended only as a starting point. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have and offer whatever help you may need.
MERITS & FLAWS:
We will consider most of the "Merits and Flaws" in the majority of the current books. However, many will be accepted in limited numbers only, and a few not permitted at all.
All "Merits and Flaws" will be approved on a "by character" basis; the better they are supported by your prelude the better the chance of approval.
Currently the following merits and flaws are closed; Precognition, Oracular ability, Grip of the Damned, Infectious bite, Dull Fangs, Iron Will, Blasé, Medium and Touch of Frost
STARTING GENERATION OF NEW CHARACTERS:
There will be a limited number of player openings for "low generation" characters. To best insure the generation you desire a well-detailed character prelude is helpful, along with early submittal.
